Mzansi Farming Hub provides a marketplace, discovery, content and payment-processing connection between users and participating farmers or sellers. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, Mzansi Farming Hub is not the manufacturer, farmer, producer, delivery company or owner of products listed by independent sellers.
Each farmer or seller is responsible for accurate product descriptions, lawful sale, stock, pricing, packaging, fulfilment, delivery arrangements, product quality, consumer notices and any obligations that apply to the seller. Mzansi Farming Hub may moderate or remove listings that appear misleading, unsafe, unlawful or inconsistent with the site's rules.
Buyers must provide accurate contact information, use lawful payment methods and review product information before purchasing. A payment confirmation does not change a seller's separate responsibility for lawful fulfilment.
A product sale carries a locked 6.00% platform fee. This is a fixed policy rate, not an administrator setting, and cannot be changed at checkout or from an admin screen — only by a documented policy update to the platform itself. Gateway processing for a product sale is a separate, farmer-side cost, and the combined platform-plus-gateway charge on a product sale never exceeds 9% of the sale amount. A sponsored placement (a separate advertising product) carries its own administrator-configured fee, currently 100.00%, which the administrator may change in future, with the applicable rate shown at checkout. Gateway costs are a separate operational expense and are recorded separately in the platform's internal ledger.
Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as PayFast or Paystack. Card and bank credentials are handled by the provider. Mzansi Farming Hub does not intentionally store card numbers, CVV codes, PINs or online-banking passwords. Where a provider supports saved payment methods, the site stores only a provider-issued token or reference.
The general minimum online checkout is currently R100.00. Sponsorships can use their own administrator-controlled minimum so that the advertised sponsorship products remain purchasable.
Prices and fees are shown in South African rand unless stated otherwise. Sellers remain responsible for their own tax, invoicing and regulatory obligations. The platform may keep payment and transaction records for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal compliance.
Product complaints should first be raised with the seller using the contact details made available through the platform. Mzansi Farming Hub may assist with evidence or payment records but does not promise to resolve every commercial dispute on behalf of a seller or buyer.
No user may use the marketplace for unlawful goods, fraudulent payment activity, deceptive listings, impersonation, malware, stolen content, abusive conduct or attempts to bypass platform security or payment controls.
The platform may suspend accounts, listings, sponsorships or payouts where it reasonably suspects fraud, policy violations, chargebacks, identity or payment problems, unlawful activity or a material breach of these terms.
A farmer can ask for the green Verified badge. This is optional: a farmer who is not verified can still list, and is shown with a red Unverified label. To be verified a farmer pays a one-time verification fee, currently R30.00, through Yoco, verifies their phone number with an SMS code, gives their ID number, sends an ID document, the front of their bank card and proof of account, and completes a private location check. Paying the fee does not guarantee approval; an administrator decides.
Credit, not a card refund. 50% of the fee is credited to the farmer's seller balance. It is not paid back to the card. The credit stays pending until the farmer's first completed order or 60 days after payment, whichever comes first, and then becomes available like any other balance. If the account is suspended for fraud while the credit is held, the credit can be taken back. The other 50% of the fee is not refunded or credited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Buyers can tell verified sellers by the green Verified label. Sellers who have not been verified show a red Unverified label, which means the platform has not checked their identity, bank account or location. See also Refund Policy, Seller Policy, Sponsorship Policy and Payment Policy.
